Six Keydets Named to VaSID Academic All-State Team

Six VMI cadet-athletes have been recognized by the Virginia Sports Information Directors organization and named to its 2024–25 Academic All-State Team for their accomplishments both on the field of play and in the classroom July 8, 2025.

There were 36 schools represented in the Commonwealth and 216 student-athletes recognized.

Only six honorees per school are permitted to be nominated based on their contributions to their respective teams and for holding at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA. The awardees must also be a sophomore or higher in their academic class standing.

VMI was represented by the following six individuals:

Courtney Novotny ’25, Reading, Pennsylvania, Biology, Women’s Water Polo
Audrey Davis ’25, Austin, Texas, International Studies, Women’s Soccer (2x honoree)
Darian Tweedell ’27, Ashburn, Virginia, International Studies, Women’s Rifle
