Now Available: myVMIalumni


You are now able to join a new online community platform designed exclusively for alumni called myVMIalumni. This replaces the current mobile app, which is sunsetting at the end of March.

This new platform introduces some new features to allow alumni to connect, including:

  • Groups to connect you with your class and local chapter
  • An alumni map to allow you to see alumni in your general area
  • Direct messaging with other active users on the platform
  • Live feeds to stay up to date with what’s happening with other alumni and VMI
  • A job board to post and search for jobs looking specifically for other alumni

myVMIalumni is a website you can visit on your desktop or tablet. It also includes a mobile app in the Apple App and Google Play Stores so you can stay connected with each other on the go.

Frequently Asked Questions

myVMIalumni launched March 9, 2026. Alumni are now able to login or request to join with your email address.

On March 9 between 12:30-1:00 p.m. Eastern, all alumni should have received an email from myvmialumni@vmiaa.org. Check your junk or spam folders to see if the message is there.

If you didn’t receive your one-click activation email, you can fill out the request to join form on myVMIalumni.org. If your email address matches what we have on file, your account will be automatically activated. If it doesn’t, we will need to manually approve your membership. This can take a couple business days.

The current mobile app will be turned off at the end of March 2026. All users interested in keeping a VMI mobile app will need to move to myVMIalumni.

VMI Ranks will continue to operate and will remain the searchable alumni database. myVMIalumni is focused on allowing alumni to connect and engage with each other through focused groups and feeds.
