Town Hall with VMI’s 16th Superintendent
The VMI Alumni Association is hosting a virtual town hall Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at 6 p.m. EST. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask a live question during the Q&A portion following remarks from Lt. Gen. David Furness ’87, VMI’s 16th superintendent.
Due to the webinar format, the following parameters will be instituted to manage the flow of the event:
• Everyone will have the opportunity to ask one question digitally. Some will be answered live. Questions will not be answered after the event.
• Questions will be asked through the Q&A feature within the webinar. Participants will be able to vote for questions to be answered by the superintendent.
• No anonymous questions will be answered.
• Multiple questions from the same person will not be answered.
• Due to the webinar format that allows for the most attendees, individuals other than moderators will not be able to address the group.
