The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America announced recently that both the VMI men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams earned Scholar All-America honors for their efforts in the classroom in the spring semester.

The Keydet women’s team earned the honor after posting a GPA of 3.35, while the men combined for a GPA of 3.02. Both squads earned recognition on the CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams in the fall.

The CSCAA selected 714 squads to the Scholar All-America Team for the spring 2023 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their spring 2023 grade point averages and represent 17,445 student-athletes.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America—the first organization of college coaches in America—is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
