2025–26 Regular Season Recap

  • The men’s team went 4-3, earning a winning record in back-to-back seasons.
  • The men broke 10 team records and had 35 all-time top-10 performances. They also won the Keydet Invite.
  • The women’s team went 1-7 with a win over Saint Francis College.
  • The women broke 20 team records and 33 all-time top 10 performances were achieved.
  • For the second season in a row, the women earned a D-I victory, the first time since the 2014–16 seasons.
  • The women placed second at the Keydet Invite, the highest invitational placing in team history.
  • Ian Lutz ’29 was named America East Rookie of the Week Oct. 7, 2025.
  • Stephen Russell ’28 was named America East Swimmer of the Week Oct. 7.

2026 America East Championships

  • The men finished in fourth with a team score of 423, the highest placing since 2021, and medaled in four of five relays.
  • Lutz scored bronze in the 100 fly.
  • The women closed out at seventh with 159 points, the highest point total at the America East Swim and Dive Competition and any conference meet in team history.
  • The women had the most scoring swims at a conference meet in team history.
  • 23 total records were broken.
  • Isabelle Haer ’28 became the first female diver since 2023 to place in the top eight in the championship meet.
  • Lane Jones ’26 placed fourth in the 1-meter dive, the highest placement for a VMI men’s diver in the America East era.
  • On day 3 of the championship meet, 19 VMI swimmers made it to the finals, the most ever in program history.
