The Southern Conference announced the conference honor roll in July 2021. Nearly 200 Keydets were on the list.

After an outstanding 2020-21 athletics season, nearly 200 Keydets were recognized by the Southern Conference and named to the SoCon Honor Roll for excellent academics July 15, 2021.

To qualify, a student-athlete must post at least a 3.0 GPA. Unlike the SoCon Academic All-Conference team announced earlier in July, there is no minimum participation requirement, and freshmen are eligible to be named.

Football led the way with 24 selections, followed by lacrosse and men’s track and field with 21 each. Men’s swim and dive and women’s track and field both had 15 cadet-athletes earn the distinction.

Among the 195 honorees, 17 Keydets own a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 29 received the SoCon Commissioner’s Medal, which requires a GPA of 3.8 or higher.

Mercer led the way with 336 total selections, and eight of the 10 full-time SoCon members had at least 200 selections. Associate Southern Conference members in men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, rifle, and wrestling accounted for 361 selections.
