On April 1, the Keydet Club welcomed back VMI baseball alumni for a reunion centered around game two of the Keydets’ series against UNC – Greensboro. Fifty alumni, spanning the Classes of 1965–2018, were in attendance to watch the Keydets clinch the series against the Spartans in a fun 13-9 game. Before the game, alumni and their families enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs and interacted with players and coaches as they prepared for the game. Ray Noe, assistant coach, invited all to join the pregame hitters’ meeting, where everyone got an inside look at how the Keydets’ offense would approach the game. After the game, the group convened in Moody Hall for a social, where they were welcomed by Andrew Deal ’12, Keydet Club chief operating officer, and heard brief remarks from Sam Roberts ’11, head coach.

“The Keydet Club was glad to welcome VMI baseball alumni back to post to reconnect with one another and support the program,” said Deal. “Coach Roberts and his staff were extremely accommodating, and we very much appreciated the opportunities that he afforded his cadet-athletes to interact with the alumni and their families while they were here. It was great to see the Keydets pull off an exciting victory in front of all the people who were there Saturday, and I hope that everyone who attended had a great time!”
